At ‘Iolani, school isn't just classes and homework. We believe that students can learn as much publishing a newspaper or chairing a committee as they can in the classroom.

Activities at 'Iolani are intended to teach fundamental concepts like teamwork, as well as provide opportunities for students to use individual talents and explore new areas of interest.

'Iolani offers over 75 different clubs, activities, and community service organizations.  Activities take place in kindergarten through twelfth grade with some giving students from Upper School and Lower School the opportunity to share and interact.

Over 95 percent of 'Iolani students are engaged in one or more activity.  Student government is among the most popular, playing an active and essential role in the operation of the school. Special Interest clubs also flourish here, allowing students to explore areas from Anime to Zen.

Our many community service activities form a central and vital core to the 'Iolani mission and ethic.
