iPad Distribution

iPad Distribution

In support of our One-to-One iPad Initiative, new students entering grades 6-12 in the fall will receive their iPads on the following dates.

There are mandatory distribution meetings for all new students, in grades 6-12, entering 'Iolani School in the fall.  Parents of students in grades 6-8 are required to accompany their child to their respective iPad distribution meeting.  Prior to their designated meeting, new students in grades 6-12 will be mailed information regarding their 'Iolani School email account, along with instructions and steps to take to prepare for their iPad distribution meeting.

NEW STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 6-12

Due to curricular requirements, there are mandatory steps that students must take prior to receiving their iPads.

  • Please read the "Rules for the Use of Electronic Devices" with your child and both sign it. Without this signed document, your child will not receive his or her iPad.
  • To ensure that the iPad is set up with proper applications and configuration, each student must have a verified Apple ID and password.  The Apple ID must be associated with the student's @iolani.org student email account.  Parents of students who are younger than 13 will receive an email from Apple <appleid [at] id.apple.com> with steps to complete this process.  If the student already has an Apple ID that is associated with their @iolani.org email account, they need not create a new Apple ID.  For students 13 or older, follow the instructions here to create an Apple ID.  Students must bring their Apple ID and password with them on distribution dayWithout this verified Apple ID, your child will not receive his or her iPad.
  • Please make sure that your child completes this password sheet, knows their @iolani.org email login ID and password, and brings the entire sheet to the iPad distribution meeting.  Without this completed sheet, your child will not receive his or her iPad.
