‘Iolani ranked among nation's best

July 23, 2015 - ‘Iolani School has been recognized as one of the top high schools in the nation by BestColleges.com.

The only school from the State of Hawai‘i on the list, ‘Iolani was ranked at No. 34 among private schools and received high marks in every category, with exceptional marks in educational outcomes.

The ranking was calculated by Niche.com, an education information and ranking website that conducts surveys and collects hard data based on academics, outcomes, teachers, diversity and extracurricular activities. Out of the thousands of schools across America, 'Iolani School rose to the top as an outstanding and innovative learning environment that nurtures and prepares creative, successful students. Premier facilities and programs such as the Sullivan Center for Innovation and Leadership, 'Iolani Peace Institute and One-to-One Initiative helped 'Iolani stand out from private schools across the country.

"It's a great honor to be recognized nationally for our commitment to providing 'Iolani students with a well-rounded, innovative education," Head of School Dr. Timothy R. Cottrell said. "We are dedicated to educating students to be global citizens who are prepared leaders and entrepreneurs."
