Class of 2028 Kindergarten Ho‘olaule‘a

May 13, 2016 - The Class of 2028 held its Ho‘olaule‘a on Friday in the One Team Fieldhouse. It featured several performances by the 71 kindergarteners for their parents and grandparents.

The opening 'oli was done by the Class of 2024. The fourth graders also provided the ukulele accompaniment for the first song.

One of the highlights was the kindergarteners singing "Telling Us the Stories" to one of their teachers and the writer of the song, Ms. Boni Gravelle (pictured at bottom), who is retiring after 40 years of teaching at 'Iolani School.

After the program, the students and adults enjoyed delicious Hawaiian food for lunch at the kindergarten lanai.

In previous weeks, the kindergarteners learned about Hawaiiana in and outside of the classroom.
